The Journey That Led Us Here
What started as two young people passionate about food has evolved into something much deeper – a mission to help others discover their own path to lasting health and happiness.
From London Restaurants to Danish Kitchens
Our story began in the world's best kitchens. Tom trained under Jeremy Lee at the legendary Quo Vadis, while Rosie earned GQ's 'Best Front of House' award working with Nathan Outlaw. We even spent four months working at Henne Kirkeby Kro in Denmark, followed by a year travelling through Italy, learning from farmers and food producers who had perfected their craft over generations.
But here's what we discovered: Even surrounded by incredible food and world-class chefs, we saw how confusing and overwhelming nutrition could be – even for professionals.
Growing Our Own Understanding
In 2020, we decided to get our hands dirty – literally. We started Neetfield Market Garden, a small farm in Cornwall where we grew food for 50 local families and 12 restaurants. For four years, we lived and breathed the connection between soil, seasons, and sustenance.
Every day taught us something new: How the same vegetable could have completely different nutritional profiles depending on how it was grown. How eating seasonally wasn't just better for the planet – it was better for our bodies. How the stories behind our food mattered just as much as the nutrients.
The Missing Piece
Despite all this knowledge – from fine dining to farming – we kept seeing the same problem everywhere: people were drowning in conflicting nutrition advice.
Friends would ask us for help, but everyone's needs were so different. What worked for Tom's energy levels didn't work for Rosie's. What was perfect for our active lifestyle wasn't right for our customers juggling office jobs and family life.
The lightbulb moment came when we realised: What if we could combine everything we'd learned about food with technology that could understand each person individually?
Building Something Different
In 2023, Tom joined the bakery team at the renowned Coombeshead Farm while Rosie moved to front of house operations. But our evenings and weekends were spent on something new – building on Tom's earlier work with Digital Wellbeing and the 20-year legacy of helping people make healthier choices.
We had a vision: An AI nutrition coach that could understand you the way we understand food – personally, deeply, and without judgment.

After years of working with food at every level – from growing it to serving it in world-class restaurants – we've learned that healthy eating isn't about perfection. It's about understanding.
