Cocoa and raisin energy balls

These no-bake energy balls make the perfect snack

  • 120g porridge oats
  • 120g peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup or golden syrup
  • 60g raisins
  • 2 tsps flaxseeds and 2 tsps chia seeds
  • 3 tsps dark cocoa powder
  • 0.5 tsps vanilla extract
  • Method

    Place all of the ingredients into a large bowl and combine. If the mixture seems too wet, add a few more oats. If it's too dry, add a little more peanut butter. It should be a sticky dough that holds together.

    Place the bowl in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set. Then divide the mixture into 18 equal portions and roll into balls. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.

    These will keep for 10-12 days in the fridge, or frozen for up to two months.
