5 Ways with Watermelon

There’s so much you can do with a watermelon - from salad, lollies, drinks and more! 

Of course, watermelon can simply be cut up and enjoyed as it is, but if you’re feeling adventurous we have chosen our 5 easiest summer watermelon ideas that everyone can do quick and easy, here’s the best of what this hydrating, refreshing pink fruit can do!


  1. Watermelon salad

There are so many watermelon salad recipes about but the most popular proves to be watermelon, cucumber and feta style salad. It's one of the most refreshing recipes to hit your tastebuds! It takes only 5 minutes to throw together and is the perfect accessory to any barbecue.

Cut 200g watermelon and 120g cucumber into bite-sized chunks and place in a bowl with 1 tbsp of finely chopped mint. Stir gently to evenly combine then transfer to a serving dish.

Crumble 50g of plant-based feta style cheese and sprinkle it over the watermelon cucumber and mint mix. Serve straight away.

2. Watermelon lemonade

When it comes to summer drinks, this has to be one of our favourites! Grab a ripe, juicy melon and it’s absolute perfection paired with citrus. Simply squeeze the juice from 2 lemons and blitz with watermelon chunks and serve over ice! If the taste is bitter, add small amounts of sugar to sweeten and blitz again until perfect! Feeling cheeky? This also pairs very well with a dash of gin or vodka to become a summer punch!

Only three ingredients, light and absolutely refreshingly delicious! Simply blend together watermelon chunks, frozen strawberries and a banana.

Make sure your watermelon is ripe and it won't lose it's sweetness. Simply cut your watermelon into sticks, push a lollipop stick in the skin side and place it in the freezer to enjoy a cold refreshing watermelon pop on a hot summer day.
